Versailles skip-the-line guided tour with gardens

The palace with a guide, the gardens on your own

Meet at the GetYourGuide office in Versailles for a 90-minute skip-the-line route through the State Apartments, the King's Bedroom and the Hall of Mirrors, told through the lives of Louis XIV and Marie Antoinette.

Then the gardens are yours: fountains, bronze statues and formal groves. An upgrade adds Marie Antoinette's Estate and the Trianon with a further guided visit.

Itinerary

1. Meet at the Versailles office

   Security checks and headset distribution take about 30 minutes before the tour begins.

2. Guided Palace tour

   90 minutes

   The State Apartments, the King’s Bedroom and the Hall of Mirrors, skip-the-line.

3. Independent time in the gardens

   At your own pace

   Fountains, bronze statues and groves — stay as long as you like.

• Not suitable for guests with mobility impairments.
• Meet at the GetYourGuide office in Versailles — not directly at the Palace.
• Arriving on time matters: late arrivals cannot be guaranteed access, and rescheduling fees apply.
• Gardens are free to enter from November to March, with adjusted pricing and no fountain shows in that period.

Meeting and end point

Not included — travel to Versailles independently (the RER C to Versailles Château–Rive Gauche is the usual route) and meet at the office there.
