Wachau Valley by private car
- 6 hours

The river road from Krems to Melk
The Wachau is the 30-kilometre stretch of the Danube between Krems and Melk: terraced vineyards, apricot orchards, small wine villages and castle ruins, listed by UNESCO. It starts an hour from Vienna.
The car takes you to Krems, follows the river road past Dürnstein, where Richard the Lionheart was held, and reaches Melk Abbey before the motorway home. Out of six hours, a little over three are yours: enough for Krems, the abbey and one village stop.

Is the driver a guide?
No. Your driver is local and knows the route, but is not a licensed guide and does not guide inside museums or monuments.
Can we choose the stops?
Yes. The stops are suggestions. Agree with your driver at pickup which ones you want time at; the day has to fit the booked hours and traffic.
Are entrance tickets and meals included?

What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel at least 24 hours before pickup for a full refund.
Can we finish somewhere other than our hotel?
Yes. The ride can end at any address in the city, such as a restaurant for dinner. Tell us when you book.
