Mozart inside one of the world's great concert halls
This is a full concert, not a short recital. Around thirty musicians from Vienna's leading orchestras play in period costume, with opera singers for the arias. The programme moves between Mozart's symphonies, concertos and best-known opera pieces.
The venue is the Musikverein, home of the Vienna Philharmonic's New Year's Concert: gilded interiors and famous acoustics. Costumes and a conductor who talks to the audience keep the evening relaxed.
About two hours, which leaves the rest of the night free.
